How streak freezes work
A freeze covers one missed day so the streak carries on. Free includes 1 per month, Pro includes 3 plus Auto-freeze. Balances reset on the 1st.

What a freeze does
A freeze marks a missed due day as neutral. It does not add a day to the streak, and it does not break it. The next time you check in, the count carries on from where it was. One freeze protects one habit for one day.
Free
- 1 freeze per month.
- Applied by hand: long-press the habit card, or open the day in the date strip, and choose Freeze.
- The missed day must be within the last 48 hours.
Pro
- 3 freezes per month.
- Auto-freeze, on by default: at day rollover, if a habit with a streak of 3 days or more was missed and you have a freeze left, it is used for you. You get a note: "Used a freeze to protect your 23-day streak."
- Manual freezes work too, and you can switch Auto-freeze off in You → Settings.
Balances
- Balances reset on the 1st of each month. Unused freezes do not roll over.
- On Free, once the month's freeze is spent, trying another shows the Pro paywall. It never blocks a check-in.
Skips, vacation, and pauses
A freeze is for days that got away from you. For days you plan to miss, there are better tools:
- Skip: swipe left on a habit to mark the day as skipped. Neutral, no freeze used.
- Vacation mode (Pro): pick a date range and every habit is neutral inside it. It can be set up to 7 days back.
- Pause (Pro): vacation mode for a single habit, up to 30 days.
A missed day without any of these ends the streak. That is all it does. Your history, your longest streak, and your total stay exactly as they were. Pick it back up today.
