Streaks
How streaks work in SweepTech
Freezes, vacation mode, skips, the 03:00 day boundary, Clean Sweeps and the Sweep streak. How SweepTech counts, in plain words.

The day starts at 03:00
Your day in SweepTech does not end at midnight. It ends at 03:00 in your timezone. A check-in at 01:30 counts for the day before, which is almost always what you meant. Night owls, this one is for you.
On Free the boundary is fixed at 03:00. Pro lets you move it.
Daily habits
For a daily habit (and for weekday, every-N-days, and monthly schedules) the streak is counted by walking back through the days the habit was due:
- A day marked done adds one.
- A day marked skipped, covered by a freeze, or inside vacation is neutral: no plus one, no break.
- A past due day with no entry, or with only partial progress on a count or timer habit, ends the streak.
- Today, if it is due and not done yet, is simply pending. It does not count and it does not break anything.
So a streak of 12 means twelve done days, possibly with a few neutral days in between. Neutral days do not inflate the number; they just stop it resetting.
Weekly habits
A times-per-week habit (say, Strength session three times a week) counts weeks instead of days. A week is "hit" when you have done it at least the target number of times. The streak is the run of consecutive hit weeks.
The current week joins the streak as soon as it is hit. Until then the streak shows up to the previous week, because this week is still in progress. Weeks start on Monday by default; you can switch to Sunday in Settings.
Freezes
A freeze covers one missed due day so the streak carries on. Details:
- Free: 1 freeze per month, applied by hand to a missed day within the last 48 hours.
- Pro: 3 freezes per month, plus Auto-freeze. With Auto-freeze on (it is on by default), when the day rolls over and a habit with a streak of 3 or more was missed, SweepTech spends a freeze for you and tells you: "Used a freeze to protect your 23-day streak."
- Balances reset on the 1st of each month. Unused freezes do not roll over.
- One freeze protects one due day for one habit.
Freezes are a cushion, not a loophole. If you find yourself relying on them every week, the habit is probably scheduled on the wrong days.
Skips
A skip is you saying "not today, on purpose." Pick a reason if you like (Sick, Travel, Busy, Rest, Other) and the day goes neutral. Skips are unlimited and free on every plan. They are the honest tool for days when the habit genuinely did not fit; see what to do after you miss a day.
Vacation mode and pause
Vacation mode (Pro) takes a date range and makes every due day inside it neutral for every habit. You can start it up to 7 days in the past, for the trip you forgot to plan for. Pause does the same for a single habit, for up to 30 days. Travel specifics are in habits for people who travel a lot.
The Sweep streak
The flame at the top of Today is your Sweep streak. It counts consecutive lit days, and a lit day is any day with at least one habit done. It is deliberately forgiving. Doing one small thing keeps the flame going.
Clean Sweeps
A Clean Sweep is a perfect day: every habit that was due is done or skipped, with at least one done. The day gets a sweep-arc badge, the total is counted in Insights, and the first Clean Sweep each week gets a small celebration. It is the stat for people who like a tidy ledger.
Milestones
Streaks celebrate at 3, 7, 14, 30, 50, 100, 200, 365, 500 and 1,000 days, with a share card if you want one. The first milestone is three days on purpose. Three is where most streaks are born.
Editing the past
Changing an old day recalculates the streak for that habit immediately. Free can edit the last 3 days; Pro can edit any day. How to do that without fooling yourself is in backfilling honestly.
Try it in SweepTech
Add one daily habit like Read and one weekly habit like Strength session, then watch how each streak behaves over two weeks. The numbers will make more sense once you have seen a neutral day in the wild.
